He used the photos, descriptions, location in Minnesota, and a final spore check to determine if they were edible.
The green spore pattern of Chlorophyllum molybdites
The green spore pattern confirmed what I had suspected...they weren't edible.
Good news is they weren't poisonous-deadly, but would still make you hella sick if you tried them.
So much for 15 pounds of edible fungi to keep him full!

'HIS' mushroom haul? Already distancing yourself from the crime. Working on your alibi. You should have told me things were on the 'down low' or I would have never urged others to read about your crime. I'll write you in prison and send you scented stickers for your cell.
Heh heh I guess you're right! Either way he lives with me so I don't think I'll escape culpability just yet.
I'm glad to see that you're still alive today, and I to noticed that they'd gone from 'our' to 'his'!
Now what? ..are you going out under the cover of darkness to put them all back.
Tempo, you're a genius. That's exactly what we should try to do! I'd love to see the expressions on the homeowners faces if they realized they were gone only to reappear a few days later. It'd be like when people steal lawn gnomes and return them later with pictures of where the gnomes have been.
